How to read Easytab
There are a total of eight notes or dots per measure. A dot equals one note. Pick each measure "down-up-down-up-down-up-down-up" and KEEP MOVING YOUR HAND THROUGH RESTS. I call this alternating in sync with the beat, and it is the essence of traditional flatpicking. By doing this, the pick is always going down on the beat. The first note or rest of a measure, then, should be picked with a downstroke and the last note or measure should end up on an upstroke. That's all there is to it.
