running time: 2:00

ADAM: Pop, I'm sorry to interrupt, but we just received a weather bulletin and we need to scare everyone--excuse me, tell everyone about it.
The SKARE 11 Super Doppler Stereo Color Radar system has detected a cloud over central Montana moving in our direction. Now, as you folks may know, clouds can produce rain. What is rain. Rain is millions and millions of small droplets of water containing chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen. Rain can get you wet, folks.
At the rate this cloud is moving, it should reach Pipestone, Minnesota in about four days, but speed of cloud travel can vary greatly, so if you live within a four hundred mile radius of Pipestone, Minnesota and you're home right now, please stay indoors until this cloud passes. Close all your windows, because rain can come through open windows. Take your kids out of school and, please, please cancel all plans!
Now, this cloud is only a quarter mile in diameter right now, but clouds can grow to be miles wide, and we just don't know what this one is going to do!
Don't use telephones or any electrical devices, because clouds can produce deadly lightning which can come through your electrical lines and kill you, and please stay in the middle room of your house, because clouds have often been associated with high winds which can break windows and blind and maim you with shards of glass!
Now, if you're watching this on television, you should turn off your televisions and place them outside your houses immediately, because lightning can come right through your television set!
And if, God forbid, you know anyone who is in their car right now, please contact them by whatever means possible and get them off the road. Instruct them to check into a motel immediately and to stay put until this cloud blows over. Even if they're close to home, because, as you know, people have been killed by weather close to their homes. Tell them to make sure the motel has a basement with a three-week supply of food and water, because, as you know, clouds have been associated with tornados, hurricanes and typhoons.
So please, folks, for the sake of your safety and that of your family, just stay put until this cloud passes us, and if you missed this announcement, we'll be repeating it every ninety seconds for the remainder of the show. Thank you.
