FLASHLIGHT ON THE ARTS 10-25-92 running time: 3:00

ADAM: And now, it's time for "Flashlight on the Arts", our look at arts events that have somehow missed the spotlight. "Flashlight on the Arts" is brought to you by Pop's Chuck Wagon Restaurants, where you can get a meal just like they served on the range with none of the comforts of home. Pop's Chuck Wagon Restaurant: home of the "Long Little Doggie", a two-foot-long partly-meat wiener nestled in a bed of mystery sauce and beige olives on a snow-white all-flour bun. And now, "Flashlight on the Arts." Pop?
POP: Thanks Adam. In music, the Inver Grove Heights Elks' Auxiliary Bagpipe Quintet will present a seven-hour marathon performance of the works of The Captain and Tenille. The performance will be at the Montessorri School. No hecklers, please. Haggis will be served.
ADAM: And in dance, the Vadnais Heights Terpsichorettes will tap their way through the book of Job Monday night at the Baptist Church on Main Street. This is the latest in a series of dance interpretations of books of the Old Testament by the Terpsichorettes.
POP: In the visual arts; The town of Butterfield will host a retrospective exhibit of the works of DeeDee Shelton, a pioneer of the Sad-Eyed Baby Animal in Acrylic on Canvas Movement of the mid-70s. Miss Shelton, you will remember, died last year from a seal pup bite. The exhibit will be at the Butterfield Bowl between lane twelve and the salad bar. Shoe rental is required.
ADAM: Gee, you wouldn't think you'd have to rent shoes to see an art exhibit. . . (shrug). In theater, The Coon Rapids Senior Thespians present Peter Pan, playing all this month in the Dairy Barn on the Anoka County Fairgrounds. Be on hand as octogenarian leading man Emory Otis attempts to establish an official record as the world's oldest flying actor.
POP: In the performance arts, noted static artist Helen Stroud will sit very, very still in front of the Lake Elmo Animal Shelter from noon to five on Wednesday.
ADAM: And that's "Flashlight on the Arts". Brought to you by Pop's Chuck Wagon Restaurant:
Grab your hat you gals and galoots,
It's Pop's Chuck Wagon; their menu's a beaut
You'll look near and you'll look far
Before you find a place on par
with Pop's Chuck Wagon Restaurant, located on Highway 394, right smack dab in the middle of all the construction. Open sunup to sundown.
